Ed was born Oct. 11, 1927, in St. Mary's, Pa., and lived in Cleveland before moving to Willoughby Hills in 1954. He was a member of N.E.S.D.A. and a U.S. Navy veteran, having served aboard the USS Missouri Battleship. Ed was the owner and a certified service manager of Erich Radio and Sound Service, retiring in June 1989. Survivors are his daughters, Jane Wiener (Paul), Karen Gordyan (David), and Janet Clapacs (Bob); son, Dennis (Cathy); grandchildren, Jill Miller, Julie Kollar, Kari Dahl, Katie Lane, and Heather, Linsey and Jamie Clapacs; nine great-grandchildren; and brothers, Earl, Ronnie and Jack. He was preceded in death by his wife, Nancy (Morcombe); and siblings, Elizabeth and Robert. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Friday, Feb. 24, 2012, at Ss. Robert & William Parish, 367 E. 260 St., Euclid. Burial will take place at All Saints Cemetery in Northfield. Family will receive friends from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Brickman Bros.
